Social involvement

Sustainable supply-chain

Social responsibility is the standard within the Sockshouse organization.

Planet, people and profit can go very well together!

Internal department

We have a dedicated team internally and at various locations worldwide to monitor, guide, train, and provide support to our suppliers in conducting audits. This allows us to be actively present at various production locations.

Independent Audits

Oeko-Tex is an independent certification system for textile products. The goal of Oeko-Tex is to protect consumers from harmful substances in textiles and to promote sustainable production practices. Products carrying the Oeko-Tex logo meet stringent standards for chemicals and are tested for safety and environmental impact. We have had our own certificate since 2016, and since 2020, it has been complemented with an Oeko-Tex certificate for Organic Cotton and a certificate for Recycled Materials through Centexbel.

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is an internationally recognized certification system for organic textile products. It guarantees that textiles are made from organically grown materials without the use of harmful chemicals. GOTS establishes social and environmental standards throughout the entire production chain, promoting sustainability and transparency. We have been certified through Control Union since 2019.

OCS The Organic Content Standard (OCS) is an internationally recognized certification program that verifies the amount of organic material in a product. It ensures traceability of organic material from the farm to the final product. OCS promotes transparency and confidence in organic claims in the textile industry. We have been certified through Control Union since 2019.

GRS The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is a certification program for textile products made with recycled materials. It establishes standards and requirements for the traceability and content of recycled materials in products. We have been certified through Control Union since 2022.

FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council, an internationally recognized certification system for responsible forest management. The FSC certification ensures that wood and paper products come from forests managed according to strict social, ecological, and economic standards. FSC promotes sustainable forest management, biodiversity conservation, protection of indigenous communities, and responsible wood production to combat global deforestation.

CO2 reduction

Where possible, we strive to make extensive use of European production facilities to minimize transport distances and

enable the use of more fuel-efficient vehicles, thereby reducing logistical CO2 emissions.
